The foundations and the lower part of the houses were built of stone, while the upper part was of brick. Larger houses have hearths in the center (circular, square, rectangular) that were used for heating. A central pile supported the roof. The houses had small rectangular windows. Their floors were covered with plaster or a solid layer of clay. The roof was supported by wooden beams and was made of twigs and wood covered with thick clay. The small houses, up to three meters in diameter, served as workshops or kitchens, while the larger ones served as permanent residences.
